About us

BSW Architects Ltd (formally Booth Sweetman Wolfe Ltd) was founded in 1944. Since then we have grown into a highly specialised practice providing both architectural and interior expertise, offering a fully integrated approach to building design.

Over the last seven decades, the studio has established a highly respected reputation throughout New Zealand and the South Pacific. It's a reputation that we are proud of, but by no means one that we rest upon.

Design Development & Documentation

Every BSW build commences with systematic research and assessment, followed by comprehensive planning, analysis, and the formulation of design alternatives, along with the provision of feasibility studies as needed.

During this early stage, the BSW team engage with all local authorities as required to ensure all knowledge gathering is complete.

It's during this phase we offer to provide you with marketing materials for promotion of your project if needed.

Planning & Concept Design

Once the concept design is agreed, the BSW team can get to work determining the finer details of the project, developing detailed designs, crafting precise working drawings, and formulating comprehensive specifications.

Throughout this phase, we offer expertise on technical aspects, and continue to liaise with local authorities to facilitate productive discussions and negotiations for building consent applications.

Project Administration & Observation

Once a concept is established, our turn-key project management services take your project from planning to a finalised delivery.

This encompasses meticulous construction coordination, regular inspections and oversight, tender facilitation and contract administration, ensuring excellence from start to finish.
